six week check up - 4.11.12

on wednesday, bunny went to the doctor for her 6 week check up. she's 8lbs 11oz (50th percentile) and 22 inches long (75th percentile). by the end of the appt though, she was SO tired and hungry that her immunization shots put her over the edge. poor sweetie - lots of tears. after that, we drove to cheer practice and i fed her in the car (in the parking lot, not while driving!) - she gulped through a too-cold bottle - and once she got through it, she fell fast asleep in the moby wrap. she slept through practice plus a visit with our friends on the tennis team. tired bunny!

today, emery got the second 2 of her 4 immunization shots for her 6 week checkup. the doctor doesn't like to do all four on the same day. she got snoopy bandaids on her two shots: one on each leg.

 

and for the first time, she got in the car seat and didn't scream! we went to the post office where she cried only a little bit and then to the doctor's office. she wasn't happy about the shots, but she fed better when we got home and napped well enough for me to be ambitious: we got back in the car and went to target! she was a champ in the moby wrap.
